Gerai Minuman Lin Kee (嬣记八宝雪) @ Stall 17, Bazaar, Seremban town, Seremban

Time flies, the crowded scene at this stall can be seen in the past.
Is not easy for u to just order and eat, but u have to wait for couple of minutes and then only u can enjoy the ABC (Air Batu Campur, also known as ais kacang).
But now, the crowded scene was gone in the wind.
Anyway, the moment I visited this stall is still queing with many waiting customers.
It shows that ABC in this stall is still very famous.
It might be truely because the strategic location of this bazaar is between the terminal bus and the town, thus most of the customer will pausing their steps and visit this stall before continue walk to the destination.

ABC (八宝雪), RM2.80

After few scoop, the stuffing can be seen which were hidden at the bottom of the bowl.
The stuffing are cendol, corn, red bean, jelly, herbs jelly, peanuts, and of course the most important is the ice with concentrated milk topping.
This ABC is very traditional taste, which means the ice are soft and milky, red sugar are just nice, not so sweet or not so tasteless, topping with concentrated milk. It's really enjoying the ABC and feels like want to order second ABC because the taste is so delicious.

Besides that, u can order other beverage too.

Overall the ingredient are well prepared, the peanuts was not oily or too harden, the ice is smooth and great taste.
The pricing is consider reasonable with such many stuffing in this ABC, no tax (Service Tax + Government Tax).
The food variety at this area still consider medium low range of the choice.
The environment is still okay, not so hygiene because this is in the partially-old building.
The service is so-so. But in the past, some customers had feedback that if the business is overwhelming, the person who take order or the lady boss will slightly "black face" (unfriendly) due to tired and too busy until no smile on their face.

Jalan Tok Ungku Pasar Malam @ Seremban

This “Pasar Malam” (night market along the street) is consider the longest / biggest in Seremban.

Generally, Pasar Malam is a place for u to buy local foods and other stuff in lower price.

I had went this Pasar Malam before, but the only food that always flashing in my mind is Taiwanese Style Vegetable Salad Popiah.

It’s special compare with others. In Seremban, normally they’ll use darker brown Sengkuang (which is overcook and adding with soya sauce) as ingredient for Poppiah, and flooded with sauce. While Ipoh Poppiah style is using cooked Sengkuang (in white color), and dry. This Taiwanese Poppiah is solid and dry. It’s using raw Sengkuang and mix with other vegetables, wrap with Seaweed. That’s why it’s so crunchy. To make it more tasty, added with Thousand Island Dressing… always make me mouth-watering whenever I think it again and again.

Vegetable Salad Popiah (台式蔬菜沙拉薄饼)

4 types of Popiah u can choose:

1. Vegetable Salad Popiah (蔬菜沙拉薄饼), RM2.10 per roll

2. Vegetable Salad Chicken Floss Popiah (蔬菜沙拉肉丝薄饼), RM2.60 per roll

3. Vegetable Salad Seaweed Popiah (蔬菜沙拉紫菜薄饼), RM2.80 per roll

4. Vegetable Salad Chicken Floss Seaweed Popiah (蔬菜沙拉肉丝紫菜薄饼), RM3.30 per roll

We only decided to choose #2 and #3, both also nice and different taste (口感),

Here is some Popiah ingredients:

Fried pork oil or flour, chicken floss

Raw Sengkuang, Corn seeds, Seaweed

Lettuce, Raw Sengkuang

As u can see, extraordinary way to prepare the Popiah… because they received too much ordered.

Besides that, Pasar Malam also selling other types of food, such as Nyonya Zongzi.

Thought I can buy it for tomorrow breakfast, but unfortunately it had been eaten by others before me.

So try it again next time.

The landmark for this Pasar Malam is Restoran Wing Heong, tallest building compare the rest.

Rating:

How to go: from Seremban town, look for Rasah Town (Seremban's satellite town) and same road to Port Dickson. After passed Rasah Town, Jalan Tok Ungku (or called Loop Road) is on a turnoff on the left. Wing Heong is just by the roadside on the right hand side.

Siew Pow Town (芙蓉烧包城) @ Seremban

Hmm… always notice this signboard but never enter into it.

Now, going to taste the food and see its ok or not.

This is the place.

This building is so big.

Address:

Oo… prawn in these food guaranty fresh le…

Only 2 persons in this trip, so we decide to order Dim Sum set.

Just want to try out what special the prawn is…

1 set is RM33. If ordered by ala-carte, total is RM35.50.

麒麟虾丸, RM5.50

The prawn is fresh. Meat is 扎实和弹牙.

麒麟虾饺, RM5.50

This 虾饺 skin is transparent and thin layer. Nice.

上海罐汤小笼包, RM5.50

This 小笼包is different compare Dragon-I’s 小笼包.

It’s not so hot, just nice.

Sup is fresh, not oily, tasty.

红油抄手, RM4.50

The stuffing (内馅) inside is like dumpling.

But it cook with some special sauce, which is taste like vinegar or wine.

Sauce for Dim Sum

Is fried ginger and dip with soy sauce.

麒麟虾卖, RM5.50

Is just like normal烧卖, but it put prawn and crab roll on top.

麒麟虾蒸饺, RM4.50

Not much difference compare normal dumpling, again the stuffing is prawn.

The skin is slightly thick and over steam.

上海锅贴, RM4.50

It’s like normal dumpling, but it fried (煎) the skin layer after boil.

After finish the dinner, we walk around and buy the Siew Pao (烧包) which consider famous for Seremban.

As u seen, they make it on the spot and fresh.

After few hours, feel hungry and go Drive-thru Pasar Malam at Seremban 2. But end up, no food that I want.

End up, we stop at 1 Tong Sui shop and ordered Kuai Leng Gao + Bubur Gandum.

Kuai Leng Gao (龟苓膏)

The taste is same like DIY instant powder pack in普通中药店.

Slightly watery, not so bitter.

Bubur Gandum

This “wheat porridge” is so milky, creamy, and tasty.

I think they put some coconut milk, nice.

Hawaii Steak House @ Seremban

1st time didn’t snap photo n share.

Bad experience in the 1st time visit this place.

The lamb chop is too hard and the ice cream was melt when it’s served.

Again, go same restaurant for 2nd time.

This is the shop as what I said.

Special la… a bit Hawaii feel.

Inside got some coconut trees, some canopies.

Business time, clearly stated:

Address:

Okay, 1st ordered a Mango Tea which no mango taste at all, RM4.80.

Soursop ABC Ice RM6.10

Sweet and sour.

Like it, the sour taste, but it’s too sweet.

Black Pepper Hawaii Noodle, RM7.50

If u like spicy, for sure u’ll like it.

But for me, it’s over.

Chicken Marryland, RM12.80

Overall looks and taste ok, but don’t know why no ham.

Sizzling Chicken Chop, RM13.80

Sizzling… Ooo… hazy picture is caused by the smoke, not due to poor quality camera.

Stonegrill Lamb Sparerip, RM19.80

I ordered this, it’s looks special.

But it’s not easy to eat.

Don’t know where to slice the lamb.

While slicing, u have to be careful as the oil might splash on ur face.

3 types of sauces, mushroom, red wine, or black pepper.

I choose red wine sauce, not so nice compare if I drink red wine.
