Stewed Venison in Black Bean Sauce with Rice (鼓椒鹿肉饭）, RM12.80

The meat is chewy and fresh, black bean sauce with a bit spicy and sweet.

And label it with name of the master chef.

Hong Kong Stir-Fried Hor-Fun (Seafood/Beef)

港式干炒河(海鲜／牛肉）, RM13.80

Beef meat is chewy and tasty, but the overall is oily and it’ll lump together once it’s not hot.

Ramen Noodle with Seafood & Tomyam Soup (东炎海鲜汤拉面), RM12.80

Ramen Noodle is chewy and fresh.

Soup are sour and spicy, great taste.

Lots of Seafood in this bowl of mee, it’s worth because the prawns and other seafood are fresh and well cook.

Sauteed Crispy Noodle with Shredded Meat & Presserved Vegetable (雪菜肉丝煎生面), RM12.80

Is not recommended if u do not like these kind of food, like me.

Normal Who Dan Ho (滑蛋河) is better than this.

Pan Fried Fu Yong Omelette (叉烧芙蓉煎蛋), RM12.00

Nothing special compare the Omelette that u can eat in other restaurant.

Fresh Bitter Gourd Juice (港式苦瓜汁), RM5.00

Nice and tasty juice, 1 of the recommended drink u can try.

Is bitter and sweet.

It blends together with skin, thus u drink it and feel it’s granulated (沙沙的感觉).

Mango Snow Mountain (炫升芒果刨冰), RM6.50

slightly over sweet.

The sliced mangoes, nata de coco, and jelly are fully covered the snow mountain.

Peanuts (花生)

Quite systematic and high-tech, using remote to call the waiter/waitress, and also can ask for bill / water.

Overall the ingredients in the food and beverage are fresh and well cook.

The taste is nice and delicious, resemble Hong Kong style and also similar with Guang Fu cooking style.

The pricing is slightly overpriced if compare the normal restaurant; but compare in Gurney Plaza with classy environment, is consider reasonable.

The food and beverage had variety of choices.

The environment is relaxing and u’ll feel like u are in the Hong Kong restaurant, because the decorations is similar with Hong Kong style.

Service is good and standard, u can call the waiter on the spot or request a total bill by pressing a remote button, they’ll rapidly served u.

If u look for No MSG food, and steam rice…

food @ this restaurant sure can satisfy ur stomach.

Scallop Abalone Bamboo Rice (干贝鲍片竹桶蒸饭), RM11.90

Combine small scallop and abalone into steamed bamboo rice.

Slightly nice and tasty.

But if u eaten other meals which is heavy taste, it’ll become tasteless.

Salted Meat Bamboo Rice (肉香豆鼓竹桶蒸饭), RM12.90

The pork meat is so tasty and fresh, and it’s not salty.

Nata De Coco Beancurd Flower (喜多多豆冻), RM4.50

The beancurd flower is soft, smooth, tasty, and the sweetness is just nice.

The toppings are match with the beancurd flower too.

Fresh Lemon Aloe (鲜柠芦荟), RM5.00

Fresh lemon juice with aloe flesh.

Neither too sour nor too sweet, just nice.

Soup of the day

After drink this soup, didn’t feel any thirsty at all.

It’s really no MSG soup.

Finishing drink it and the soup stock also eaten.

Dessert of the day: Coffee Jelly

Heavy aroma of the coffee. Nice.

The environment is relaxing, ensure u’ll enjoying the food without rush.

Genting Cafe (云顶餐室) @ Jalan Delima, Penang (Halal)

After eaten the Auntie Curry Mee in housing area @ Jalan Delima, it’s really make me to pay a visit again and again.

But am not aware that they’ll close for Nine Emperor Gods Festival.

Thus, had to look for another breakfast then.

There’re few merchants which are nearer to that Auntie’s house.

Finally choose this restaurant for my breakfast.

Pasembur, RM4.00

Only few stuffing inside, Keropok, Sengkuang, Cucumber, Fried Taufu, Cucur Udang

The sauce slightly tasteless, a bit rough, not really enjoy this meal.

Kuey Teow, RM3.30

Stuffing is Egg, Prawn, Chinese Sausage, Taugeh, small Leek (韭菜), and Kuey Teow, but no Cockles.

Overall are tasty and the Kuey Teow is smooth (which is not stick together), but the prawns are not fresh and a bit oily.

Curry mee, RM3.80

Got 3 FRESH PRAWNS, Tofu Puff (Cantonese said Dau Bok), Cuttlefish, Cockles, Red Jelly (pig’s blood), Yellow Noodles (lye water noodles, 碱水麵), Bihun (Bee Hoon or rice vermicelli) or mix.

The chili paste had been added into the curry soups, so u can see it’s slightly oily on the surface.

This curry soups is slightly rough, not so tasty.

The stuffing is fresh.

Stuffing are egg, fish meat, leaves and spices.

The fish portion is too small, egg is slightly rough, the taste is not fulfill my passing score.

Dou Kou (豆蔻, Amomum cardamomum), RM1.20

Enrich type, tasty but slightly oversweet.

Normally only Penang restaurants have this drink.

The food price is reasonable, because most of the customers are local.

No worry, it’s no service tax and no government tax. ;-)

There’re 10stalls available to choose, thus the food variety is not a problem.

The environment is resembles mid-generation shop.

The service is mid-range.

Kafe Soya Soya @ Gurney Plaza, Penang

Hmm… am Soya Pudding lover, but I can’t accept the price in this shop, because it’s so expensive until charged me RM10 per bowl.

But u can consider few highlights that make the price stand so high:

• Soya products are made freshly from Canada Class A Non-Genetically Modified Soya beans (Non-GMO beans).

• Chilled Soya Pudding Dessert With Toppings

• Wide variety of delicious soya pudding deserts suitable for all ages at affordable prices. (statement taken from Everyday website)

• Kafe Soya Soya prides itself on its creative ability to serve sensationally delicious and visually stunning chilled soya puddings with various Toppings.

• Kafe Soya Soya’s chilled soya pudding comes in 8 different flavors: original, Pandan, almond, black sesame, coffee, cocoa, sweet corn & carrot.

• Everyone has their own favorite dessert toppings on chilled soya pudding with these toppings: all-time favorite (Nata de Coco, pearl), something seasonal (Jackfruit, Rambutan) or one that evokes childhood memories (jellies!).

Notification to the customer if this serving is not enough sweet, u can ask for more. And also can ask a plain water for FREE.

Overall the serving is not bad, but the price is overcharged (am not sure why the Canada Class A Non-Genetically Modified Soya beans so expensive… is it after I eaten this Soya can make my skin smooth and healthy?)

There’re many different ingredients u can add as ur topping.

The Soya Pudding is smooth and soft, but the taste is so-so.

No Service Tax and no Government Tax, if not it’ll over and overcharged.

Food variety is less.

The environment is clean and tidy. Is just at the Basement of Gurney Plaza.

The service is nice, u can ask for this and that. I mean u can add more sugar to enhance ur Soya Pudding sweetness.
